TEACHING AMERICAN HISTORY GRANT


What: A Master of Arts in Historical Studies (MAHS) for OPS teachers via
Nebraska Wesleyan University-- Omaha Campus located at 11815 M. St.

Applications are available for any OPS teachers from michael.young@ops.org or telephone him at 402- 557-2635.
Firt priority is given to American history teachers.

Applications for Cohort 3 are due August 2, 2011.
Additional applications will be accepted and applicants put on a waiting list.
The first class for Cohort 3 will begin in the fall of 2011.
Tuition costs will be paid by the OPS TAHG for Cohort 3 for 27 hours if completed by the end of the summer of 2013.

Stipend of $12.50 per hour for OPS teachers
Held at the TAC 4th floor Computer lab

Open to all teachers.
Optional sessions for the NSCSS conference Developing Historical Thinking Skills
A special 3-hour session open to all teachers. Stipend of $12.50 per hour for OPS teachers. Presentatio by Todd Peeler (Ex. Director of Soc. St. for WebLessons.ESI.Inc.)
